How To Get Your Blog Articles To Appear In Google?
This article is short and sweet. Most importantly it shows you how to get your blog articles to appear in Google. Everyone wants traffic to their blog and everyone wants people to read what they write. In this article I show you how.
The first step in getting your article to appear in Google is writing the articles in a way that Google likes. The title of your article as well as the wording in your article are important elements in getting your article in GSERP (Google Search Engine Results Page). Ideally, you want your articles listed on the first page of results. I would estimate that 97% of people click one of the results on the first page. Your goal is to make front page on GSERP. Do not set a goal for second page, you won’t get traffic. The goal is front page, remember that.
When you create the title to the article make sure that it is relevant to the content in the article. If the article is about patching a bicycle tire, then a good title for that article would read: How To Patch A Bicycle Tire.
The first two sentence in the article need to give an overall summary describing what the article is about:
In this article you will learn how to patch a bicycle tire by following simple step by step instructions and viewing detailed pictures of a bicycle tire being patched. Bicycle tires need to be replaced often, and learning how to patch a bicycle tire could save you money.
The next step is to pick out the keyword groups that are relevant or the same as the words in the title and make them bold:
In this article you will learn how to patch a bicycle tire by following simple step by step instructions and viewing detailed pictures of a bicycle tire being patched. Bicycle tires need to be replaced often, and learning how to patch a bicycle tire could save you money.
After you write two good sentenses that give an overall summary of what the view is about to read, it would be a good idea to use the <!–more–> tag next.
After the <!–more–> tag is where the details of your article should go. If you have a really long article you can use the <!–nextpage–> tag to divide your article into seperate pages.
Writing a two sentence summary of your article first and making the relevant keywords bold is what Google likes. And it this example, please would find this article if they used Google to search for the following:
- Learn how to patch a bicycle tire (1st page results)
- How to patch a bicycle tire (1st page results)
The word bicycle backs up the search term bicycle tire, and both of these back up the two search terms we want our article listed on the 1st page. It is unrealistic to try to target one or two word keyword groups. You will have more success when targeting three or more keyword groups such as what is being described in this example.
Are you ready for your pages to start appearing on the first page of GSERP? I bet you are… but you still have more work to do, but don’t worry it’s fun….
Look at this whole effort of being listed on GSERP in two parts. One I just described, which is a creating Google friendly blog articles. The second half is marketing your site or your article directly. This can be done for free. With out marketing your site or article, you can not establish backlinks, and backlinks are what you need to get a higher Google PageRank. Higher the PageRank the more value Google puts on your article and the higher your article will be listed in the SERP. However, if your article isn’t Google Friendly, regardless of your PageRank Google won’t index it, or won’t index it the way you wanted it too. Both parts go hand in hand.
How Do I Market My Site or Article?
That answer couldn’t be any easier! Comment on other blog sites that are relevant to your own and leave your link. Most blogs have a place to add your link. Do not add links into your comment. Again, there is a designated box on most blogs where you can leave your website address. On sites that are relevant to your own, you can either leave a link to your home page, or leave a link to your article. It is a good idea to do a mixture of both actually. However, on article that are directly related to an article that you wrote, it is a great idea to link them directly together. Meaning, if you comment on another site and link back to your article, go back and edit your article and add a link back to the other article.
Link exchange and blogroll exchange are very important. Again, you are trying to get your Google PageRank higher and trying to increase your the backlinks to your site. The more link exchanges you do the more backlinks will be recorded to your site. The more you comment and leave your link back to your site, the more backlinks you will have to your site… same goes with linking directly to articles.
Link Exchanges and Comments = Backlinks
Backlinks = Increased Google PageRank.
Increased Google PageRank = Better Google SERP
Better Google SERP can only happen if your article is Google Friendly.

Anthony, you are welcome. After visiting your site I noticed that our sites touch on very similiar topics. It would be an excellent idea for us to exchange links so that we both could build our backlinks off from one other. I have already added your site to my links page and want to encourage you to do the same for my site.

Here is a live example of publishing a comment on another site that is similar to your own. Look at the first comment above. The person who left the comment is named, Anthony. The website he left his link for in the comment is titled Blogging Lessons. His site is a blog site where people can learn how to blog. Now, this may be a live example… but it isn’t quite the example I am looking to set.
Granted, Anthony is doing what I suggest. However, one more thing I must communicate. It is very important to write high quality content in your comments. Here are a few tips in optimizing your comments on other people’s sites. With Anthony’s comment. He has chosen to invest the time into creating a comment on my site. The time he spent commenting will not help him very much at all. Yes, he will get a Google backlink credit, but if he had published a Google Friendly comment, he could have gotten so much more out of it.
Let’s look at his comment below…
First off, Anthony’s comment written like this could be moderated and removed from many blog sites. The comment generically compliments the article in a way which makes it difficult to see if he is a real person or just a spam bot. Nothing is contributed here (especially content - Very important!) just a dropped link that links to a blog site that has relevant content to mine.
What Anthony could have done was write a little more in depth comment explaining why he felt the Blogging Tips were nice and possibly even what he enjoyed most about the article. Prior to publishing the article, you should spell check it and most importantly, you should go through the article and make relevant keyword groups bold.
