Successful Blogging Tips #02
A picture is worth a million words. A blogging tip that will bring you more success to your blog is to add pictures into your posts. You can’t be successful blogging without the interest and attraction of your readers. The most common blame of blogging failure is people feel that their blogs aren’t doing well because of lack of traffic.
This is not true!
Convert Traffic Into Regular Readers
It doesn’t matter if your blog gets 10 visits per day or 1000 visits per day, if you don’t capture the attention of your readers, they will never come back. And for me… I would rather have a blog that has 10 visits per day and retains 100% of the traffic by converts them into regular readers compared to a blog that has 1000 visits per day and with 0% conversion.
Raise The Bar HIGH!
Set that bar high! Challenge yourself to improve. And most importantly, put yourself into your reader’s shoes. Don’t expect readers to visit your site again, if you haven’t done anything for them during their first visit. You need to “Wow” your readers, you need to give them a reason to come back. And when they do come back, you need to give them even “More” reason to come back.
Competition…
Have you looked at popular competing blogs and wondered why they are popular? What makes these blogs different from yours? Does design play a consideration into their popularity? What about material and how they present their content to their readers? Do they offer an open forum and encourage their readers to contribute their thoughts and opinions? If you have a handful of blogs that you are competing with (whether publicly or in the back of your mind) then you need to recognize what it is that they do well and compare what they are doing to what you are doing and see if there is a variance. I am not telling you to be a copy cat. It is important to recognize what works and what doesn’t. From there use what has been proven to work and step things up a notch! Takes things that have been proven to work and make them your own… because if your site isn’t creative and different from the crowd, this also is yet another reason why people will never return to your blog after stumbling upon it.
Successful Blogging Tips Summary
To be successful blogging you have to take what you get and make the best of it. If you convert 10 visitors per day into regular readers by the end of the year you would have attained 3650 regular readers on your site. A blog can grow like wildfire. But it is your job to make sure there is a spark.

Pictures on my posts is a practice I adopted very early on eJabs.
I have since slacked of, but if you read my earlier posts, there was almost always a picture. I probably need to get back into the habit of it.
I think I may have slowed down on including pictures because my blog has a lot more content on the sidebars that I want reader to notice. When I first started I was trying to gain their attention any way I could…and what better way than a good picture coupled with a great post??!!
After rethinking it…I’m not sure I want to include many pictures, just for the point I made above…I want my readers to be drawn by the items in my sidebars.
